Colormix is the software dedicated to the color recipe’s formulation for the traditional production. With an intuitive interface, Colormix optimizes the preparation time, the quality and the production cost, characterizing the different chemical classes and the substrates. The recipes’ formulation become a fast and safe process through the colorimetric reference selection or the Pantone code. With a direct interface, through the spectrophotometer, the operator obtains a rapid acquisition of the reflectance bend or the creation of the color chart. The software is also able to identify mathematical colors or to compare the references in order to obtain the Delta error. Colormix proceeds through different methodologies, as the identification of similar color-sample, already produced and recorded in the archive. In the case of a similar colors feedback, the software moves to the automatic calculation of the entrances, considering the chromatic distance, the metamerism, the stability, the objective substrate, every incompatibility between inks and, not less important, the cost of the obtained entries. Colormix calculation motor works with a precise measurement and through the use of mathematical and internationally recognized formulations (CIELAB 1976 – CMC (1:1) – CMC (2: 1) – ICE 1994 – CIEDE 2000). This allows Colormix to perform a strict quality control, carrying out also the color calculation and the color valuation, and adapting itself at the different needs of the company.
